The Milwaukee judge, Hannah Dugan, was arrested for allegedly helping an illegal immigrant evade arrest, the FBI director says.
The FBI arrested Judge Hannah Dugan in Wisconsin County Circuit Court. I am not sure if Judge Dugan is an example of Milwaukee thinking, or if this act is just her response to the FBI running roughshod over the defendant's civil rights. What bothers me is her actions upon hearing that that ICE was there to arrest Eduardo Flores-Ruiz.
The FBI claims Judge Dugan intentionally misdirected the FBI away from Flores-Ruiz, an illegal alien, then ushered him out the Jury door and out of the building to safety. I have never heard of this action taken by a judge to avoid arrest. In my opinion, Judge Dugan has no respect for the FBI and thinks that illegals should not be deported from the U.S., no matter what the illegals have done to cause federal officers to want to detain them. The overriding fact is that Flores-Ruiz is an illegal. He broke the law by entering the U.S. without due process. I have no idea if Flores-Ruiz committed crimes while he has been in the country, but that would be an additional reason for Flores-Ruiz to be sent back to his home country.
Both Kash Patel and Pam Bodi have claimed that Judge Dugan intentionally misdirected federal agents away from the subject to be arrested in her courthouse, Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, allowing the subject—an illegal alien—to evade arrest.” 1. Flores-Ruiz was arrested by ICE after a short pursuit.
Judge Dugan's attorney, Craig Mastantuono, told the court at Dugan's hearing that she "wholeheartedly regrets and protests her arrest." 2. This is not an apology, though it sounds like it. Judge Dugan regrets being arrested, but she thinks she did the right thing, and does not deserve being arrested and hauled into court for her actions. Boo hoo, go ahead and cry for the jusdge. For me, she deserves what she got. Dugan needs to be held responsible for her actions in aiding and abetting an illegal evading arrest.
